a wild one. Sort of played it by ear on this. An early experiment
in abstract painting. It remains many people's favorite
piece of my "collection," but not mine. Which
reminds me: the tastes/perspectives of the artist often
differ from those of the outside observer. Obviously there
is some overlap, but when the two parties are worlds apart
in opinion, I suspect it stems from the mystery -- or lack
thereof -- of how a piece of art, or a song, or a performance,
etc. came to be.To use an analogy, ever notice how much
better a meal tastes when someone else prepares it compared
to when you do? I rest my case. |
