Spencer (2000)

Drawing (charcoal on paper); 36" x 24"

Spencer is something of a legend in the Austin counterculture community. He was a saxophonist in a hippie band back in his youth. Judging by the frequency with which he modeled for UT art students, posing nude seemed to be his main source of income later in life, not that there's anything wrong with that. Hopefully, I will have enough tucked away in my IRA that I won't have pursue the same line of work when I'm his age. Wait, that sounds mean. I take it all back.
